Why a pay-stub checker

Most pay mistakes are small: a break taken out that should not have been, overtime figured on the base rate when a night differential should have raised it, two weeks averaged into one. Small mistakes repeat every pay period. The only way to catch them is to do the arithmetic, and the arithmetic of the regular rate is not obvious.

Stubtally does that arithmetic. You type your own times and the stub’s numbers; it applies the federal overtime rule (or a state preset), shows what the gross should be and where it differs, and cites the rule for every flag.

What it is not

• Not a staffing agency, job board or recruiter. It lists no jobs and places no workers.
• Not a law firm, and not legal advice. It does not take cases or contact employers.
• Not a payroll service. It does not pay anyone and does not talk to your employer.

Who runs it

Stubtally is built and run by WeldonPC.com, a computer services company in Northeast Ohio. It lives at laborforceone.com; the domain is only its address.

LaborForceOne.com is not connected with Labor Force, Inc., which owns the LABOR FORCE trademark for temporary help services, or with any staffing company, employer or government agency.
